Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a safe and non-invasive ancient healing technique. It gently and subtly moves energy within our body; returning our system to a balance state. In my humble opinion; everyone can benefit from Reiki.
It is a complimentary medicine and should not replace your child's current medical care under a physician or psychiatrist. However, studies have shown that children of all ages can benefit from the addition of Reiki to most treatment protocols.

Reiki for kids session length will vary based on the child's comfort level. Typically, I will set aside 30-60 minutes in my schedule for sessions.
Younger children are welcome to bring in any special blankets, pillows or soft friends (stuffed animals/ dolls) that provide familiarity and comfort. Teens are welcome to bring in anything small for support, with the exception of electronic devices.
Parents are encouraged to stay in the Reiki room during all sessions for toddlers-tweens. For tweens and older, I ask that parent and child discuss and agree if parent will be in the room or in the waiting room during the session.
I request that no cell phones or other electronic devices (tablets/handheld games, etc) are used during the session in the Reiki room.
Unless a sibling is old enough to sit quietly in the waiting room, unsupervised for 30-45 minutes, I ask they do not attend the session.
I adhere to the strictest ethical and professional standards. Your child's privacy and safety are of my utmost concerns. I always provide hands-free Reiki when parents are not present.
