Intuitive & Holistic Support

I have been a licensed and clinically trained therapist  for over 25  years; working with men and women seeking support for mental health and substance use disorders.  Over the years, I have assisted clients in understanding their life struggles and supported them while they moved through alleviating emotional pain, navigating difficult life situations/ relationships and creating new coping strategies to live their best lives.   

The core beliefs and mission statements of most agencies that I worked for over the years was truly inspiring. I provided much needed clinical support to very vulnerable populations. 

I loved my work with my clients.  

However, after many years along my own personal path of discovery, I felt like I was not bringing myself authentically to my work with clients.  There was part of the work missing (holistic care) and a part of me that I could not bring openly to sessions (energy/ intuitive work) while working at a community-based programs.  

I left the not-for-profit world.  

I threw away the cookie cutter models of traditional talk therapy. 

In 2013, I  opened River's Journey Counseling.  An open-minded, affirming, safe, healing place for all clients; no matter where they were on their journey to change.  

Still feeling the nudge for my business to grow and adapt to fully align with my concept of support and growth; my practice evolved to River's Journey Wellness.  Integrating energy work with guidance and support outside of the clinical constraints of Therapist to knowingly  guide as a Life Coach.

I am an empath who loves empowering other empaths.  I am a highly sensitive woman who loves to encourage other highly sensitives to create soothing practices.   I am student of energy work who feels strongly about working with our whole system.   I am a life-long helper who loves supporting other helpers.  I am enjoying my own path of well-being and love to share opportunities for raising awareness for the need of self-love and self-compassion and creating a self-care routine. 

I've lovingly curated Coaching and Reiki services and packages: 

• Melding strategies that support the holistic wellness of the mind, body and spirit.  
• Embracing the intuitive side of care. (Spiritual/Metaphysics)
• Utilizing and teaching Energy work (Reiki, Meditation, Mindfulness, Tapping, etc.).
• Incorporating ancient Earth/Nature practices into my services. (Moon Meditations)
• Teaching and supporting a practice of self-care and  well-being to achieve personal growth,.
• Providing supportive  coaching  strategies to release pain and anchor in change. 

Holistic.  Intuitive.  Support.
